Sofern man nicht seine eigene IP hat, werden die Mails sehr häufig als Spam abgewiesen. Die Shared-IPs sind werden von vielen missbraucht und sind daher in einigen Listen als Spam-IP aufgelistet.

Mailgun is a service that was created by developers for developers. Their top-tier documentation and code is self-explanatory and should present no issues to integrate in just a few minutes. The service itself is reliable and has the latest bleeding edge features. Their customer support is very effective and can get issues solved promptly.

Mailgun's pricing has only gotten pricier and pricier with time. They are not even able to provide discounts that are not in their scheme and it is up to you to simply accept that when there are many competitors on this market. The service itself is very robust but this inconvenient made me think about other options after some above-base level features were needed.

Mailgun was easy to set up, straight from Heroku. It worked well for some time.

Despite a paid plan and all the proofs the Mailgun staff could need, they restricted heavily our ability to send mails to our users through SMTP.

API is very easy to integrated, SMTP alternative is a quick start to use in software that require SMTP protocol to send email.

Current dashboard is kind of complicated, sometime I could not find a setting or where I could set a adjustment.

You can not search the logs with the email content

It is cheap and reliable. There is no downtime.

If logs can be searchable by email content that would be great

The functionalities are simple and reliable, stable and exactly what you expect.

The price could be cheaper but I guess that is the usual customer complaint right?

- Bit of struggle with UI but time to time will be used to with it.

I believe it is a reference among some companies and it was recommended to me, that's why I started using it. The free version is decent.

Integration is a bit complicated compared to other solutions on the market. Even after configuring some emails were still considered as SPAM. Prices are absurdly high.

It seems relatively easy to use. I wanted to use them because they are a cheaper alternative to use on a WordPress site.

I had some issues with the initial setup and the support team was not that supportive. I quickly disregarded this software as I didn't want to waste much time. It was already a week and the slow responses from support didn't help. Maybe I got impatient and switched too quickly. The software looks good, it's just that I needed to implement something quicker

Mailgun is very easy to configure and use, even in free subscription, you can use a lot of features and can send up to 10,000 emails that makes it very great.

The price is really costly, but you can still stick to the free plan and maximize it.

We've been using mailgun since few years and it's one of our most used and essential software for out business. It seamlessly integrate with any system and provides fast and accurate email delivery solution. Since we've been using mailgun it's very rare that email sent from our system goes to spam folder. Also, with their dedicated IP option email delivery and white listing is even more easier.

Mailgun email tracking feature is not that accurate and also I personally found and reported bugs into the system UX.

Its api is very simple to use, most PHP frameworks come with mailgun integration out of the box - if they don't, mailgun supports standard smtp anyway. Great usage graphs and multiple regions to send from. Is makes it very easy to send emails from php applications which would normally be blacklisted if you use standard php mail from inside a VPS on e.g amazon/azure/vultr/digitalocean. Very generous free tier.

Their anti spam measures can sometimes not work - if your sending details have been compromised you can be hit with a pretty large bill before you realize someone has been sending hundreds of thousands of emails on your behalf.

The best would be their free tier, they recently changed their free tier but you still get free 1k+ emails per month. This is thier "pay as you use" tier. Very usefull if you're still new as you get all the features of a paid service. Very cheap even when you exceed the free emails.

I wish they have a lower tiered plan like $5 or $10 a month for low traffic sites. As a developer not all sites needs 10k emails a month.

I use Mailgun for my email marketing services and it works perfectly. Mailgun helped all my emails go straight to my prospectors' inbox instantly without any challenges.

With 10.000 free emails/month is a super deal for small business.

Besides, Mailgun is truly flexible for developers with Webhook Support, API support, SMTP user manager, Email Template Builder.

I hope Mailgun support Email Template Builder with Drag&Drop function that easier for me to create email templates for my workflow.

Simple to use for monitoring send activity logs as well as spot complaints.

Support is terribly unresponsive. They have been recently purchased and the new folks have instituted what appears to be automated "features" that throttle emails even when you are not exceeding paid limits.

Free options for small/startup businesses with reasonable prices for larger companies/projects. Mailing lists included.

WordPress integration is quite simple with the Mailgun plugin. Once installed and configured, the WP plugin allows websites to send form email responses with relative ease. The mailing list feature is nice bonus.

Management portal was updated recently and vastly improved the UI/UX experience.

Extended log access is only available in more expensive plans.

Easy to use! Supports integration with a lot of languages including PHP and Rails, we were able to use it in no time, They provide you with free mails monthly for when your startup is starting and is blazing fast, much better than connecting the app to a conventional email.

Nothing at all, hoping they can implement PWA notifications soon.

I like how it literally has every piece of information that you need to make an educated decision about potential client accounts and wether they are fraudulent or not.

It's kind of complicated to understand and get acquainted with at first.
