As a small business, this takes a lot off my plate. I don't have to set reminders for enrollments since they reach out to the employee(s) directly. There are limited carriers and plans to choose from and, unfortunately, healthcare rates continue to soar. We're a 12 person company who pays 100% for our staff premiums. That comes out to roughly $9,500 per month for health insurance - and that doesn't include the GAP insurance we pay separately for our employees since the deductible is $5K per person\! We originally joined the PEO hoping that being lumped into a larger pool of workers, we'd receive better health insurance and better rates\! That is not the case.
