Über Countfire
Countfire ist eine automatisierte Lösung zur Ressourcenkalkulation für die Elektrobranche, mit der Nutzer Symbole automatisch über mehrere PDF-Zeichnungen hinweg zählen können. Der automatische Abgleichalgorithmus funktioniert über alle Zeichnungen und Mengen hinweg und wird automatisch in Bereiche unterteilt. Zu den Funktionen gehören lineare und Bereichsmessungen, automatische Erstellung von Excel-Tabellen und Genauigkeitsberichte.
Nutzer können PDF-Zeichnungen direkt per Drag-and-Drop in die Datei-Upload-Zone ziehen, um ein Projekt zu erstellen. Projekte können in Kategorien unterteilt werden, um alle Zeichnungen zusammen zu gruppieren, die ähnliche Symbole haben, beispielsweise alle Beleuchtungszeichnungen in die Kategorie „Beleuchtung“ und alle Stromversorgungszeichnungen in die Kategorie „Strom“. Nutzer können Zeichnungen drehen und Zeichnungstitel hinzufügen, damit sie in die Excel-Tabelle übernommen werden. Die Suchmaschine hilft dabei, Symbolbeschreibungen zu finden, und das Bearbeitungstool ermöglicht das Entfernen von unnötigen Elementen mit nur einem Klick.
Sobald ein Symbol auf dem Bildschirm ausgewählt wurde, findet der Zähl-Algorithmus der Software automatisch alle ähnlichen Symbole in der aktuellen Zeichnung und zählt alle ähnlich aussehenden Symbole in allen anderen Zeichnungen, die in dieselbe Kategorie hochgeladen wurden. Neben der automatischen Zählung bietet Countfire auch eine Reihe von Tools zum manuellen Zählen von Symbolen. Mithilfe von Abgrenzungen können Nutzer in Countfire Mengen, die in ihrer eigenen Spalte in der endgültigen Excel-Tabelle enthalten sind, unterteilen, in der Regel nach einem Preiszeitplan.
Countfire ermöglicht es Nutzern auch, Abdeckungsbereiche zu berechnen, um bestimmte Gerätetypen wie PIRs, Rauchmelder usw. visuell zu überprüfen, damit sichergestellt wird, ob ein System bestimmte betriebliche oder behördliche Anforderungen erfüllt.

Excellent, the online support is fantastic, as is the software. There have been some containment drawings that I simply could not have lifted off with Pen and paper, but Countfire has made it possible and easy to review.
If in doubt do the trial on a big job and see how you get on!
Vorteile
Whats not to like? Not much. Its a fantastic tool for estimators, the more you use it the faster you get and the more confidence you gain.
Automatic counts - Brilliant
Manual Counts - When you cant use automatic counts this is still super fast compared to pen and paper
Measurements - Brilliant
Splits and multiples - essential and very helpfull
I have been using it for a year now and would recommend it to anyone involved in estimating or any other form of take offs.
Nachteile
Every now and again you get a bad drawing where all the symbols are slightly different and its a pain. Just use manual count and safe yourself a lot of frustration!
The cost is pretty high (but worth it in time saved) If I was self employed it could be out of price range.

One year review of the Countfire software

Vorteile
The takeoff software allows the user to quickly takeoff any project. The symbol counting tool is impressive and in the future when the project is in a later build most estimators will use this software.
Nachteile
The technology, while impressive hasn't reached perfection yet. I believe in years to come this will no longer be a problem. An example of this is the symbol counting software which doesn't accurately take off every symbol. To counteract this Countfire allows you to take as many snippets of the symbol as you want. Hopefully in the near future this will no longer be an issue.

Absolutely – it's great you have been able to complete your takeoffs quicker.
We acknowledge there's always room for improvement – our product team work in two week cycles to release hundreds of platform enhancements a year.
Countfire finds matches based on your selections. Occasionally, depending how the drawing has been created, symbols can be drawn differently so they don't automatically match with your first selection. To count these different symbols, just make additional selections under the same symbol heading.

I like that it saves me time on larger projects that have a lot to quantify, as well as making measurements easier and quicker.

I have had the odd drawing where it doesn't pick up the symbols very well.

There are a few things that can cause your symbols to not be picked up well including the format of the drawings and the way the drawings have been created.
