There was no automation for WIP, no revenue recongntion, no way to forecast backlog, and no gross profit recognition inside the system. The data base was not bi-directional, so writing information into it was nearly impossible. This meant we could not do any project forecasting inside of the system without bolt-on software. In-house payroll was very manual and we worried about errors, especially with our complicated labor burden formulas. > > I would only recommend Sage 300 for small contractors. Larger union contractors will struggle with the system. Sofrware integrations will be extremely challenging, especially for contractors wanting to outsource payroll. You will need a Sage consultant.
