> **Vorteile**: Ease of use. Having experience with LIS based on Concurrent DOS and Linux, working and maintaining Schuylab is such a breeze. Not difficult to use and yet very elegant, specially when you interface your Schuylab with other systems and or analyzers.

> **Nachteile**: Because it ease of use most users underestimate the underlying complexity.  In most cases we overcomplicate a problem while the solution is not that difficult.  One tip for users: follow the standards

> As an LIS administrator I had the opportunity to either work and or maintain different lab information systems.  Using Schuylab opened up a world of possibility. While other programs did shine in stability (it never crashed) it was a nightmare to produce the most basic statistical report.

Didnt' stop them from desperately trying to get paid for their worthless system.

Knowing that many laboratory practices vary widely, Schuyler does force you to follow only one style of operation.  Most of all is their willingness to be open to suggestions and to implement them as their feasability becomes apparent.
