> **Vorteile**: The infrastructure monitoring is great. Datadog was one of the only vendors that could handle and mute AWS EC2s as they scale in and out. Compared to other vendors I would get extra alert noise. I do like all the integrations. There are a ton of integrations. I love the traces explorer and service map. It is really easy to figure out which service is causing an issue.

> **Nachteile**: I wish there were more price transparency. I think a pricing calculator would help. I wish the CI visibility feature supported more CI/CD tools. Setting up the APM monitoring/traces is a little tricky with AWS ECS. I wish DataDog's database monitoring supported explain plans for MySql prepared statements.

> Overall, I would recommend DataDog to others, especially if they use AWS. Installation is pretty flexible. I wish pricing was lower and more transparent. I would like to see improvements in their database monitoring module.
