Über Zoho Projects
Zohos leistungsstarke Projekt- und Kollaborations-Software besteht aus vier Basis-Modulen, die in jedem Paket als auch in der kostenlosen Version zu Verfügung stehen. Die in Zoho-Projekten enthaltenen Module sind Aufgaben und Milestones, Dokumente, Projektkalender, Besprechungen und Foren. Alle sind Teil der Standardfunktionen dieser Anwendung. Wenn die Anforderungen skaliert und intensiviert werden müssen, können die Add-on-Module von Bug Tracker, Zeiterfassung und Abrechnung, Wiki und Chat ohne Probleme zur Anwendung hinzugefügt werden, um eine wirtschaftliche Lösung für kleinere Unternehmen zu bieten.
Aufgaben und Milestones: Dieses Modul bietet Aufgabenverwaltung, Projektmilestones, Aufgaben-Abhängigkeitsansichten und Berichterstellung für jede Funktion. Gantt-Diagramme und Statistiken von Aufgaben – ob neu, teilweise abgeschlossen oder geschlossen – werden in diesem Modul gemeldet.
Dokumenten-Management: Dieses Modul ermöglicht es dir, neue Dokumente, Präsentationen und Tabellen mit Zoho Office-Suite in der Software selbst zu erstellen und zu speichern. Es besteht keine Notwendigkeit für zusätzliche Software. Die Dokumentverwaltungsfunktionalität ermöglicht das Hochladen verschiedener Dateitypen. Microsoft Office-, Microsoft Project-, OpenOffice-, StarOffice-, AutoCAD-, Photoshop- und ZIP-Dateien sind kompatibel. Du kannst sie in Projekte importieren und sie an aktuelle Projekte anhängen.
Projektkalender und Ereignisse: Dieses Modul organisiert Besprechungen, Ereignisse und Termine mit einem Browser von deinem Desktop aus. Projektkalender können freigegeben werden, du kannst automatische Erinnerungen senden und Kalender sind von überall und für jeden Benutzer des Projekts zugänglich.
Projektforen: Zusammenarbeit ist eine der Hauptkomponenten von PM. Mit diesem Modul können interaktive Message Boards genutzt werden, sodass verstreute Projektteams zusammenarbeiten und Informationen für jeden im Team verfügbar sind.
Zeiterfassung und Abrechnung (verfügbar in teureren Plänen): Dieses Modul bietet nützliche Zeiterfassungsfunktionen und Arbeitszeittabellen, die Abrechnungsfunktionen ermöglichen. Arbeitszeittabellen können in Zoho Sheets und sogar in eine Excel-Tabelle exportiert werden. Wenn du ein Projekt unter Verwendung von Zoho Projects ausführst, kann die Funktion zur Erfassung von Projektabrechnungen in der Arbeitszeitnachweisfunktion in die Zoho Billing-Anwendung exportiert werden. Erstelle Rechnungen aus den Arbeitszeittabellen und sende sie an verschiedene Lohn- und Fakturierungssysteme.
Pages (optionales Zusatzmodul): Dieses Modul bietet einen Team-Intranet-Arbeitsbereich für das Hinzufügen, Freigeben und Erstellen von Dokumenten, Tabellen, Präsentationen und Videos, die alle an einem Ort verwaltet werden können. Dies bildet ein Repository für eine Quelle der Projektverfolgung.
Bug Tracker (optionales Zusatzmodul): Dieses Modul ermöglicht es dir, Fehler zu melden und zu beheben sowie die Konfiguration von Workflows und Berechtigungen für die Übermittlung von Fehlern und Statusänderungen - eine nette Funktion, die normalerweise nicht in der PM-Software enthalten ist. Das Bug-Tracking-Modul wird intern häufiger als Incident Tracker innerhalb eines Projekts verwendet.
Chat (optionales Zusatzmodul): Ein Echtzeit-Chatraum, der für Team- und Projektzusammenarbeit erstellt wurde und vom Browser aus ausgeführt wird und eine Archivierungsfunktion bietet. Dieses Modul ist sehr nützlich für White Boarding und Brainstorming während eines Projektlebenszyklus. Das Chat-Modul kann mehrere Gespräche zwischen verschiedenen Arbeitsteams erfassen.
Zoho Projects ist eine gute Lösung für kleine, mittlere und große Unternehmen ohne PMO oder zertifizierte PMPs. Die Anwendung bietet einen Ansatz mit gesundem Menschenverstand zum Erstellen von Projekten, Aufgaben, Terminierung, Planung und Zusammenarbeit, um ein Projekt abzuschließen. My overall experience is great with Zoho projects, it works fine if given the right technology support. In past three years we have done multiple updates and customization on Zoho projects and they have worked well for us. I personally would recommend Zoho projects to others to built a very good project management tracking system.
Vorteile
Zoho projects has been part of our organization from past 3 years. It is a very useful tool for project management. It has high importance in task management especially in tracking down deliverable in kanban projects. The user interface is very friendly and the dashboard is highly interactive. Milestones can be easily set and can be tracked throughout its completing period. Project lags, time delays, and bottlenecks can be identified easily in the system. This tool also helps to manage teams and individual tasks assigned to each person. Notifications can be enabled to track individual performances. Overall, this tool is multi-purpose tool that can perform wide range of tasks.
Nachteile
Zoho projects are hard to customize. Its scalability is very limited to certain tasks. It is good in project management, but it fails to provide a communication channel between people. Chat windows lag a lot between communication and real time forums take lot of time to update. Zoho requires high internet bandwidth, slow internet creates problem with updates and Zoho starts lagging. Multi user portal has also lot of issues. Even multi user portal is a common feature. The feature creates issues with file sharing. It takes lot of time for file transfers.

While I have not used the customer support for Zoho Projects extensively, all of the other Zoho tools that I use have an extensive Knowledge Base, very active public forum where people respond quickly, in-built live-chat to chat with a customer service representative, and plenty of videos on YouTube to learn different aspects of the software.
Vorteile
Zoho Projects has the following features - no restrictions on number of projects you can create. Easy to switch between projects in the same online interface vs managing multiple files. Ability to create workflow automations that trigger on event based activities, which enables standardization of processes. Ability to share projects with outside vendors/project participants and improve the collaborative nature of Project management.
Nachteile
More flexibility on making the user interface more compact (like Excel or MSP). Current interface is well spaced, but some users may like a more compact view. More simplified Gantt Charts that help us understand progress and dependencies. Ability to export projects to Excel for sharing with others we can't/don't want to bring on to Zoho projects

I have use it to planning a workflows in recruiting new employees and sorting a candidate. It help me and my team to parting the job in separating and filtering the candidate and their qualification. It has help us a lot by assigning every team member role and task.
Vorteile
Efficiency in managing, execute and collaborating a project is increasing in our team after using Zoho Projects feature and tools while working for our project. We can add client to the client platform to get them involve with the project that we are collaborating together, and we can limit and filter information that we are sharing with them.
Nachteile
The software is slow in loading the resources and i had to wait for it to fully loading all the resource to start working with it. I need to installing the software, and can't using it from my mobile device to using it. The dashboard design is outdated with no hint of they will updating it near future.

Do not get Zoho Projects!

Terrible.
Vorteile
There is very little, if anything about this product that is likable. I guess, if pushed, I would say the calendar feature and the forum features are interesting but by no means makes up for the lack of features overall of Zoho Project. We are a small to medium business that recently, and regrettably, transitioned from Harvest to Zoho. There is quite a gap in pricing between the two platforms but you get what you pay for, mainly how many users you have. Zoho Project feels more like a bata test platform, then an actual product that should be live and used by any business. If you are doing very basic project management, like planning a wedding or a home renovation this tool would be good for you. But why would you pay for it when you can get any template on-line for free. The only other "pros" I could manage to list is their support. They have a help representative chat feature which is good and they are responsive. Unfortunately for them and mean most of it was used to inform me that "that feature is currently not available". Overall go with Harvest!
Nachteile
Does not integrate with Quickbooks. Can not add basic client contact information. Can't view all invoices that are due or in draft form (they force you to use another one of their clunky platforms). The Zoho Dashboard is terribly unhelpful and uninformative. You can not run basic reports like; time reports for team members across projects, expenses, invoiced projects, etc. You can't even simply alphabetize Client Users, so as you add clients they are sorted by when you entered them, only. You can only export information in one format and the reports provide very little (helpful) information; for example if you want to export your Clients. The report that is generated only provides the internal Client ID#, Name, User Name, Email Address, Role, Invoice. It does not provide State/End Dates, what Projects are associated with Clients, any Budget information, and so on, and so on. Invoice, Expense, and Time information are shown and available only through each individual Project. You can not see all invoices due, total amounts out standing, or time sheets across Projects and Clients. You are forced to click into each individual project to access that information and once again, the reports you are able to generate are very limited. I could go on about all the "cons" associated with Zoho Project but I don't have time.

The decision to move from a fully custom-built system to the Zoho ecosystem was based on the ability to have full control over customization and also the ability to integrate with other apps. While there is some built-in integration with other Zoho apps, some technical configuration is required to get them all to work well together.
Vorteile
Zoho Projects is a fully cloud-based project management solution that is ready to go right out of the box. The ability to create templates for re-use is very helpful in an environment that repeats the same processes for various clients throughout a product life cycle. What is also good is the ability to modify an existing template without affecting project that previously used that template. This makes it easy to revise processes without disrupting already in progress projects.
Nachteile
Unfortunately the number of project templates that you can create within Zoho Projects is limited unless you purchase more. So if your company uses more than 20 templates at a time be prepared to pay more money upfront. Zoho Projects has a lot of built-in features which require time and tutorials or training to fully understand. This can be a disadvantage for companies who need to get up and running very quickly but is worth the effort for time saving in the future.
